Project – Three Corners
Vero Beach, FL
“An inclusive waterfront sanctuary where the lagoon, the city, and its people meet in balance.”
The Vero Beach Waterfront Commons is envisioned as an urban retreat shaped hand-in-hand with the community—especially the women and families who championed SūDā’s vision and urged the City to select our team. Here, SūDā translates its philosophy into a calm, walkable edge along the Indian River Lagoon: a place to slow down, breathe, and feel genuinely at home by the water.
An Open, Wellness-Forward Waterfront for All
Vero Beach is defined by extraordinary natural beauty and a civic commitment to thoughtful growth. When residents saw in SūDā a partner aligned with their hopes for an open, welcoming, wellness-forward waterfront, they spoke up—helping pave the way for a concept that is aesthetically compelling, economically vibrant, environmentally sensitive, and truly for the public. The result is a place-led framework that balances nature, recreation, culture, and education—protecting the lagoon while creating a daily living room for the community.
In partnership with the City, SūDā is curating architecture, landscape, and programming that elevate the public realm rather than overpower it: generous shade, native planting, human-scaled buildings, and spaces designed for conversation, reflection, and learning. The project is conceived as both a quiet health-forward escape and a catalyst for long-term social and economic value.
The Vero Beach Waterfront Commons will include:
Knowledge & Wellness Pavilion – A health and learning hub offering talks, workshops, and practices centered on wellbeing, movement, and mindful living.
Indian River Lagoon Learning Center – Interactive ecology and conservation programming that invites residents and visitors to understand and protect the lagoon.
Community Greens & Gathering Lawns – Flexible outdoor rooms for yoga, lectures, picnics, performances, and markets.
Waterfront Promenade – A shaded, universally accessible walk that frames lagoon views while restoring habitat and encouraging gentle access to the water’s edge.
Curated Food & Café Spaces – A small collection of thoughtful, locally attuned food offerings that support daily life without overwhelming the calm.
Art & Cultural Moments – Rotating installations and storytelling elements in collaboration with local creatives to deepen the sense of place.
